2nd Tuesday - SOL?

So, it's Spinning Out Loud night for those of you who are so inclined.  Me, I'm planning to finish those blasted mittens for my nephew that I started before Christmas.

Quick survey:
Q1: Would be ok with our weekly roll calls going over to Ravelry?

Q2: Do we need weekly roll calls? (I'm thinking it is handy to organize rides, book borrowing, lending, and such)

I'm out tonight, migraine.
As for moving to Ravelry, that suits me fine. Also, weekly roll calls are handy, I'm all for maintaining them.

I am planning on coming tonight but may be a bit late.

It doesn't matter to me where the roll call is, but I do think it's a good idea to keep the roll call for the reasons you listed. I'm not very good about replying to the roll call every week, so it's not a good indication of whether or not I'm coming. But there are definitely times where it has come in helpful.

I like having roll call. It's nice to know that you won't be there alone. I think it might be easier to have it over Ravelry though. That way our busy organizers don't have to always worry about posting.

Either way, I'm out again this week. I am almost over this stupid (swear word here) cold, but my throat is still killing me. I just need a little more heal time.

Roll call is good!

I am coming out to knit tonight, not to spin. I'm going to leave at 9 to go see Black Swan at Park Lane.

Roll call is ALWAYS a good idea, that way no one ends up at knit night only to see that everyone else has gone on vacation and there goes all hope of meeting new people (right Alison? lol)

The benefit to having it here is that it's easily google-able to newbies who may not have found Rav yet (crazy, I know. but it happens). The benefit to Rav is that if the blog password holders forget to post, another group member can easily throw up a roll-call thread. And rav leads to greater discussion too.

In your shoes though, I'd start a new group with this group's name and info on it so it can be found easily on Rav for people looking for a new group to join.

As for tonight, I have no idea what I'm doing. All I know is I am exceptionally tired. We shall see.
